My personal preference is the batard (oval) because I love a loaf-like form for sandwiches and toast. But taste-wise, they are equally yummilicious. For get-togethers when you need to cut up some bread for dipping or toasting smaller pieces, a boule. In the end, it’s just a matter of personal preference. Boules make great sandwiches too. Both are versatile and equally “better!”
